What would you do if you had the chance to drive a Ferrari F430? Our colleagues from #Whatever YouTube video channel have had the chance to do just that and used this opportunity to pick up unsuspecting strangers waiting for the bus.
Even though the Ferrari F430 is an older model it will still turn some heads. When it was first unveiled, it was one of the most impressive super car of its era. The exterior was designed by Pininfarina, one of the most impressive coach builder in the world while the unique F1 technical accessories transformed this road legal car into a beast.
As you probably know, the Ferrari F430 is powered by a 90 degree V8 4.308 cc engine. As a reminder this is the same engine found on the 360 Modena model but with a 20% increase displacement.
The engine is able to deliver 490 horsepower at 8.500 rpm and 465 Nm peak of torque at 5.250 rpm. Thanks to an E-Diff (Electronic Differential) the car can guarantee maximum grip. If you can’t remember this E-Diff has been used for years in Formula 1 cars.
It also has a high-pressure hydraulic system, a control system and a mechanical unit mounted in the left side of the gearbox. The gearbox has also been inspired by the Formula 1 transmissions while the Manettino button (that special little red button found on the steering wheel) can turn the Ferrari F430 into a beast or into a lamb.
Fortunately, the driver here had the chance to meet a Vietnam war veteran. See the video below and find out his impressive story. Spoiler alert: he has lung cancer but he is a humble and happy lad
